One Stitch at a Time

I didn’t make as much progress as I’d hoped this week (my goal had been to finish the inner gold circle), but cross stitching is a lot like life. You take it one stitch at a time and as long as you don’t stop it all comes together in the end.

I don’t particularly like working on dark aida cloth (or any kind of dark material, because it make it a lot harder to count stitches or work at night when there’s no natural light to supplement my crafting light. The black background has slowed progress down a little, but it will make a nice background for framing once the piece is finished.

Here’s a close up of the design so far. The gold is a lot brighter in person than it looks on the screen, and when finished the mandala should actually be fairly colorful.

What are you working on this week?
