I’ve been trying to get out of a writing rut and, for me, it’s always easier to start writing if I think about something in my real life that I want to figure out, talk about, or just get off my mind. And that’s the inspiration for this week’s writing prompt.
Write about something in your life that hasn’t turned out the way you expected. A job, a friendship, a relationship, a goal, a dream, a school choice, or anything else that has made you rethink what you thought you knew or believed.
“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.” ― Philip K. Dick,
“You don’t get explanations in real life. You just get moments that are absolutely, utterly, inexplicably odd.” ― Neil Gaiman
“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” ― Robert Frost
What are you writing this weekend?
